Positive rank difference: a lower placement under RIEP. Negative: a higher placement. Ties share competition ranks; scores and ranks use unrounded source values.

Calculation and coverage

RIEP = N ÷ 3 × (introduced ÷ chamber introduced + passed chamber ÷ chamber passed + became law ÷ chamber law).

Equal weight for three stages, with an average of 1 in each chamber. Counts combine CEL’s substantive and substantive-and-significant categories without weighting them. Commemorative bills are excluded. This is a category-based approximation to RIEP’s non-resolution bill scope, not a new official bill-level recount.

The full CEL historical roster contains 75 House records and 39 Senate records across 38 Senate districts. Maryellen Goodwin and Jacob Bissaillon both served District 1 during this session; both records remain in the calculation. N is the number of legislator records, not occupied seats.

CEL SLES uses five stages, including committee and beyond-committee action, and weights bill significance. Its expected benchmark is a separate comparison and is not used in the RIEP calculation. Party ranks on candidate profiles differ from the full-chamber ranks shown here.

Pearson correlation compares score values. Spearman correlation compares ordering using average ranks for ties. A high correlation is expected because both measures share sponsorship and advancement inputs; it does not establish independent validity or measure constituent service, policy quality, or all legislative contributions.

Urso first served in 2025 and has no 2023–2024 record. No score is assigned for a session she did not serve in.
